One-on-one coaching: Sleep

Two-thirds of people do not get adequate sleep. Research shows that sleep deprivation can lead to a host of physical and mental issues, including Alzheimer’s Disease, Obesity, Diabetes, Depression, Immune System dysfunction, and some forms of cancer. As a Sleep Coach, I assist people who experience poor sleep. My five-phase Sleep Program is designed to help clients reclaim their sleep and enjoy a better quality of health and wellness. The process starts with assessment and evaluation of the client’s current sleep habits, education regarding the stages of sleep, the importance of quality sleep for health, interventional sleep strategies, sleep hygiene and lifestyle practices to promote quality sleep. All clients followed up after completing the sleep training program to evaluate the intervention outcome.

The process of helping clients to achieve sleep health consists of the following five phases:

  1. Assessment Phase - Initial interview, sleep habit assessment, sleep questionaries, sleep diary
  2. Analysis and Planning Phase – analyze sleep diary, behaviours and patterns, planning and goal setting
  3. Education Phase - Sleep 101
  4. Implementation Phase- Sleep training, Sleep hygiene & lifestyle interventions
  5. Follow-up Phase- evaluation of process after the completion of training
